LUBRICATORS was the dream of bandleader Michael
Foster. With the love of blues in his heart, and
desire to play with top notch bluesmen, he set out
to form a special band. He was able to obtain guitarist
Robert Lieberman. Robert referred Mickey to his
long time friend and bass man Jerry Luithle. Dave
Sprock, also a local vet and friend was called on
to drum. The band sparked immediately. Not only
were they making great music, but having great fun
besides! |

THE
LUBRICATORS have been together since 1986. They have become one of the
tightest and most exciting blues bands in southern
California. Working constantly has made them well
recognized in the blues community, and are especially
popular amongst the blues players, due to their
technical skills and deep knowledge of the music.
It is not uncommon to have some of the best players
in town dropping by to check them out, or maybe
sit in for a couple of tunes.
After
9 years of working together and building THE LUBRICATORS
Dynasty Robert had to leave the band due to the
death of his loving mother and his father taken
ill. God bless them all. The band pushed on with
substitutes trying to fill the shoes of The Blade
which was nearly impossible until Barry Levensin’s
arrival. Barry’s extensive talent and history
of recordings and productions alongside Billy Foster
“Charcoal” on 2nd guitar, this duo makes
for a smokin’ hot band. |

THE
LUBRICATORS have a familiar logo. They advertise
in several publications, sell T-shirts, bumper stickers,
and are legendary for their humorous flyers. They
have been reviewed in the L.A Times and several
other publications. Always getting a positive review
makes them a name associated with excellence. |

The
music of THE LUBRICATORS ranges from old Delta Blues
to Uptown Chicago, from hard edged Texas shuffles
to West Coast Swing. The band has a huge repertoire,
and can vary the music to suit the crowd. Just wave
a bill in front of the tip jar and you’d be
surprised what these boys can get down with!
THE LUBRICATORS are currently recording a CD, it
is due out for the summer of 2005. But don’t
wait for the CD; catch them now while you can!
The band is available for a variety of functions
such as night clubs, parties, recording sessions,
weddings, divorces, and is a great host or house
band, (THE LUBRICATORS hosted so-cal's most popular
blues jam for over two years). From big houses,
to honkey tonks and juke joints, or any place that
needs a great blues band; we can fulfill your needs.
